How to set up Coach K

Coach K walks you through every play: the live price, the right side, both slips. Put it on your computer, your phone, or both — it is the same Coach K, and one sign-in on sbablack.com is all it needs.

Coach K on your computer (Firefox)

A sidebar in Firefox, with alerts when a window opens. Five minutes, once.

  1. Install Firefox

    If you don’t have it: mozilla.org/firefox. Any recent Firefox works (128 or newer).

  2. Open the Coach K link in Firefox

    It is a small file that ends in .xpi. Use the button below, or the link Coach K sent you.

    The link is in the message Coach K sent you.

  3. Allow the add-on

    Firefox first says it prevented this site from asking you to install software — tap ALLOW, then ADD. That’s the install. Keep the sidebar box ticked if Firefox offers it.

  4. Sign in on sbablack.com once

    Open sbablack.com in Firefox and sign in like always. Coach K picks it up from there — no second login, no extra device.

  5. The sidebar button

    Tap the Coach K button in the toolbar (the K) and the sidebar opens with your plays. Right-click the toolbar and Pin to Toolbar if you want it there every time.

It keeps itself up to date. When there is a new Coach K, Firefox picks it up on its own within a day. In a hurry: menu → Add-ons and themes → the gear → Check for Updates.

Coach K on your phone

The same Coach K as a home-screen app, with alerts. No app store.

  1. Open sbablack.com/black/coach

    In Safari on iPhone, or Chrome on Android. Sign in if it asks — it is your SBA Black sign-in.

  2. Add it to your home screen

    iPhone: tap SHARE (the square with the arrow) → ADD TO HOME SCREEN → Add.

    Android: tap the menu (⋮) → ADD TO HOME SCREEN (or Install app) → Add.

  3. Turn alerts on

    Open Coach K from your home screen and tap TURN ON ALERTS, then Allow. On iPhone, alerts only work from the home-screen icon, not from Safari — that is why step 2 comes first.

Already in? Coach K shows a short checklist the first time — signed in, your state, your books, a venue in your state, alerts on. Each item has one tap to fix it, and it goes away for good once everything is set.

Coach K reads prices and your own bets; it never places a bet for you. Your keys stay on your device. Firefox only, on the computer: the add-on is signed by Mozilla and shared by SBA directly, never through a store.
